Ella and Scott brought their families and friends together in Cambridge for an absolutely magnificent day, with the ceremony held in the stunning St Andrews Anglican Church right in the centre of town. White on the outside with that beautiful steeple reaching up, and inside, those stunning heart kauri timbers built in the old Gothic Revival style. You don't get many churches with that kind of character still standing. After the vows, the wedding party crossed the road to a chorus of horns tooting and well wishes from passing cars, Cambridge clearly in on the celebration too.
From there it was onto the park for a picnic under the cherry trees, all in full pink blossom, just a gorgeous spot to relax and soak the day in. Come evening, things picked up a gear at the historic Cambridge Town Hall, memorable speeches flowing, and one highlight saw Scott finally "awarded" a Watson family t-shirt, something he'd been eyeing up for years. The BurgerFuel car rolled up for dinner, then Ella and Scott hit the floor for a first dance that showed they clearly knew all the moves, before the dancing carried the whole night through. A proper Cambridge wedding, full of heart, heritage, and a whole lot of fun.
The timing couldn't have worked out better, the cherry trees were in full bloom right as the wedding party walked down by the lake for their picnic. That pop of pink against the green lawn and water made for some seriously stunning colour in every frame.
If you’re planning your own wedding and want it captured in a way that feels real, relaxed and true to you, you’re in the right place. I focus on documenting the day as it unfolds, all the genuine moments, the big emotions and everything in between, without it ever feeling forced. It’s about creating something you can look back on and properly feel again, not just see.
