One Of Those Days You Just Don’t Forget

Candlelit and a little creepy

31 October 2026

Caroline and Mitchell’s wedding at Pirongia Pines on Saturday was proper one of a kind. Caroline is a big fan of the Addams Family and anything spooky, so the theme leaned right into it. The ceremony kicked off just on sunset, with black webs draped above their heads as they said their vows, tons of candles glowing around them, and their close family and friends right there with them. Caroline looked amazing in her Astra Bridal gown paired with a perfectly fitting black veil, while Mitchell matched her beautifully in a sharp black tuxedo, it was completely them.

Dinner was Hell’s pizza and nachos, which suited the vibe perfectly. Then came the cake, a three tier masterpiece made by Caroline’s dad, topped with the most incredible skeleton couple sculpture, which made the moment pretty special. The evening stayed relaxed beside the pond, with the white bridge arching across it under the tall pines, the forest beautifully lit till late. Everyone enjoyed catching up with one another, many whom had travelled a significant distance to come celebrate, and it was exactly the kind of night Caroline and Mitchell wanted.

This Lot Dressed To Impress

The bridal party had been right there for Caroline and Mitchell all day, helping them get ready and making sure everything was on track for the big evening ahead. Now that the hard work was done, it was time to kick back, enjoy each other’s company and soak it up before the sunset ceremony.

I believe every person deserves to be captured in the moments they’ve felt most loved and cared for.
Caroline and Mitchell took a few quiet minutes at sunset to let it all sink in, enjoying their first moments as husband and wife and everything they’d just pulled off together

Your Day, As It Felt

If you’re planning your own wedding and want it captured in a way that feels real, relaxed and true to you, you’re in the right place.  I focus on documenting the day as it unfolds, all the genuine moments, the big emotions and everything in between, without it ever feeling forced.  It’s about creating something you can look back on and properly feel again, not just see.
