Intimate Done Right

Laid back and full of heart

11 April 2026

Stacey and Lourens came together to celebrate their wedding at their church in Rototuna, surrounded by their closest people. With Stacey’s mum and Lourens’ brother right there alongside them, along with their best friends and church congregation, the whole day felt grounded, meaningful, and full of genuine support. It was one of those ceremonies where you could really feel the importance of the moment and the people standing with them.

Afterwards, we headed out to Taitua Arboretum and spent a couple of hours making the most of the space. With tall, mature trees and lush ferns all around, it was the perfect setting for relaxed family photos, time with the wedding party, and some beautiful, quiet portraits of just the two of them. It had a calm, natural feel to it, giving Stacey and Lourens a chance to slow things down and take it all in together.

Where it all slows down

That first moment wandering through the Arboretum had such a relaxed, just-married feel to it. Stacey and Lourens strolled side by side under the canopy of tall trees, completely in their own world, sharing quiet smiles and easy glances as they soaked in those first moments together as husband and wife.

I believe every person deserves to be captured in the moments they’ve felt most loved and cared for.
in amongst the trees, they held each other close, taking a breath and really feeling it all. It’s that kind of still, intimate connection that makes these portraits so special, no rush, no noise, just the two of them.

Your Day, As It Felt

If you’re planning your own wedding and want it captured in a way that feels real, relaxed and true to you, you’re in the right place.  I focus on documenting the day as it unfolds, all the genuine moments, the big emotions and everything in between, without it ever feeling forced.  It’s about creating something you can look back on and properly feel again, not just see.
